Adam MiessAnybody know of any good sites for CAD models? I know of a couple, 3D content central and Trace parts. I'm looking for any sites that have basic parts already modeled up in a format that I can import into Alibre.

McMaster-Carr.com has lots of models of the parts they sell. Its not a catalog of models, it is a catalog of parts with models,, : ).

You should also check out GRAB.COM. I like it becuase if you need a special model you can request that model. Some one has a model that your looking for, and more than willing to share it with you.

About Me
Mechanical Engineer and CAD monkey. I work for a company that builds cranes and does general fabrication work. I like tinkering/designing new things. I've never drafted anything by hand (outside of a sketch) but I consider many of those old technical drawings to be works of art. I like Zeppelins, steam engines and just about anything that flies. I also appreciate machines that favor awesomeness over practicality.
