Please seem my "classifieds" posting. Let me emphasize that this is a "request in expectation" of winning a contract and NOT a "done deal" by any stretch of imagination. However, the potential is great -- assuming we (me and the group with whom I am working) get through this "gate."

I do NOT have this contract in hand at this point in time. This is a groundwork request.
It will be done virtually with on-line meetings and daily (on-line) data back-up being the norm. People will be hired under W4 or 1099 time-based contracts.
If things go as fast as possible, I would need to start bringing such people onto the team as early as June 2013 -- with delays beyond that being not only possible, but probable. There is a year's worth of work for the team (IF the contract comes throu...
I have just completed a proprosal for a rather large design/development task. IF the group for whom I did this work gets the contract (and please note the IF in this statement), I will need 10-12 experienced Alibre designers to make this happen. This is ...

Lew MerrickI just uploaded a library of Aluminum Association extruded angle part files over at GrabCAD -- for your design pleasure.
Lew MerrickI have now uploaded "libraries" of AISC S-Flange & W-Flange beams over at http://www.GrabCAD.com for you enjoyment and task simplification...

Lew MerrickOK, I have just uploaded libraries of Square Aluminum Tube and Rectangular Aluminum Tube (square corner Aluminum Association sizes) over at GrabCAD.

Lew MerrickI have just posted models of inch-sized square & rectangular steel tubing over at GrabCAD for your design ease & pleasure.

Also, many of the "standards" in metric (S-flange & W-flange I-beams notably) are mere "metrification" of the inch-based sizes developed in the U.S.

You may have to modify the outside radius generation rule. However, if you do so, all you need to do is (A) convert my base from inches to mm and (B) create a list of length X width X wall-thickness for the sizes you are interested in and then spend a couple of hours stepping through the models, updating the variables, and saving them to individual part files. It took me a total of (about) six yours to create the part geometry lists and generate all the part models for my "libraries." YOU can do the same (and share them with the rest of us), right? less
