Also can't figure out how to import Rhino 3D files into Alibre Expert. The Rhino addon doesn't install, can't afford the maintenance fee to get an answer from support ... lol ... Alibre won't even import an .stl file that it created yesterday. If any of you power users can point me to where I can get help on this it would be greatly appreciated.
Alan Randall: Here's a link to a 3D .pdf model where Alibre helped turn this hobby into a more enjoyable experience. Total cost of materials: $100. The before and after photos are self explanatory.

Now we include a 95% human male CAD in most CAD's, verifying hand size access to adjustable fixtures and maintenance points, incorporate material under pre-tension to hold parts "snug" with pry points for changing, and treat weld seems as the 3 dimensional beads that they are. What are your lessons learned, your successes and epic failures, as your dream transitions from Alibre to reality? less
